If another website plays sound in the same Chrome window, check the silent site’s player volume and its Chrome Sound permission. Open the site, select the site information icon beside the address, open Site settings, then allow Sound for that site and reload.
01Check the player before changing Chrome settings
Section linkStart the clip yourself and check its speaker icon and volume slider. Then play a different clip on the same website. If only the original clip stays silent, try a clip that you already know has audio before changing permissions. Keep the same speakers or headphones for both tests.
02Change the setting for the affected website
Section linkOpen the silent page directly and check the address before opening Site settings. If Sound is blocked, change it to Allow. Reload the original page and start playback again. For Chrome’s default, go to Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Additional content settings → Sound. A site-specific permission takes priority over that default.
03Use a second site to narrow down what is left
Section linkFor example, play the silent training video and then a known working audio clip on a different website in the same Chrome window. If both are silent, check the browser’s default sound setting and see whether another app can play through the same output. If only the training video is silent after you allow sound, use the site’s own player controls or report the specific video to the site.
