Open the site from its official home page in a fresh Chrome Incognito window. If that works but the same steps fail in a regular window, remove the affected site’s cookies and site data, then sign in again. If the same loop happens in another browser, report the page and the step where it fails to the site owner.
01Compare the same steps in both windows
Section linkA redirect sends Chrome from one address to another. Chrome shows ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS when that happens too many times. Open the site’s official home page from a fresh Incognito window and repeat the action that failed. If the original error appeared after you signed in, try signing in there as well. A home page that opens before sign-in tells you little about whether the account page still loops.
02Clear the affected site’s data
Section linkIn a regular Chrome window on your computer, open Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → See all site data and permissions. Search for the site, select Delete beside its entry and confirm. This can sign you out and reset preferences for that site. Open the home page again, sign in if needed and repeat the same action.
03Use the comparison to narrow down the cause
Section linkIf the loop only happens in your regular Chrome window after clearing the site data, try temporarily disabling the extensions you control, then re-enable them one at a time and repeat the test. Incognito blocks third-party cookies by default, so a failure there may also reflect how the site handles sign-in. Try the same page in another browser before drawing a conclusion.
04Report a loop that persists across browsers
Section linkTell the site owner whether the home page opens and whether the loop starts on a particular page or after sign-in. Share the page path and the error code. Leave out passwords and sign-in links that contain private codes. For a work or school sign-in page, send those details to your help desk.
