Open Firefox’s menu and choose Passwords. Search for the site. If the login is there, return to the site and click the username field. If no saved usernames appear on multiple sites, check the browser’s password autofill setting.
01Check for the saved entry
Section linkIn Passwords, look for the site and the username you expect. If there is no entry, make sure you are in the Firefox profile where you saved it. A login saved in a different browser does not automatically appear in Firefox. If the entry is missing only for a new site, check whether Firefox was set to never save passwords for that site.
02Choose the account on the sign-in page
Section linkIf Firefox has several logins for the site, click the username field and choose the one you need. Start typing the username to narrow the list. If the form fills but the site rejects the password, verify the account and enter the current password. Update the saved entry only after you know which credentials work.
03Check Firefox’s autofill setting
Section linkOpen the menu on the Passwords page and choose its settings option. Find the Passwords section. Enable Ask to save passwords and the option to fill usernames and passwords automatically. Some Firefox versions label the second option Save and autofill usernames and passwords. Reopen a known sign-in page and try again. If only one site still fails, check whether it sends you to a different sign-in address before editing the saved entry.
