Firefox prints blank pages? Check the preview first

The short answer

Open Firefox’s Print preview before sending another job. If the preview is blank, test the same page in another browser. If the preview looks fine, choose Save to PDF and open the saved file to check whether the content is missing before it reaches the printer.

Make sure the page range includes the content you need. Under More settings, try Simplified format if it is available, and check that it keeps the part you want to print. If the same page is blank in another browser but other websites preview normally, the website’s print layout is a likely cause. Look for a printable version of that page.

02If the PDF looks right but the paper is blank

Print the saved PDF using your usual PDF viewer. If that also comes out blank, try a known good document on the same printer. When that fails too, use the printer maker’s troubleshooting for blank output. A PDF with the expected content confirms that Firefox could render the page to that destination.

Open about:support in Firefox. In the Printing section, choose Clear saved print settings and open Print again. This clears modified Firefox print preferences, so note any custom settings you want to reuse. Retest a simple page and then the original page before sending another job.
