How to Save a Webpage as a PDF on Computer or Android

The short answer

Open the webpage’s print menu and choose Save as PDF instead of a printer. Check the preview, choose a filename and folder, then reopen the saved file. A PDF captures the printable page; it does not preserve every interactive part of the website.

Open the page you need, then press Ctrl + P on Windows or Command + P on Mac. In the print window, choose Save as PDF as the destination. Review the page range, layout, and preview before choosing Save. Select a folder you can find again and give the file a useful name. You do not need to upload the page to a separate conversion website.

Open the page, tap More > Share > Print, then open the printer selector and choose Save as PDF. Check the preview and save the file to a folder on the device. The final button can look like a save or PDF icon depending on the print interface. If your Chrome menu looks different, use its Share menu to look for Print.

03Mac: use the system PDF menu

In an app with the Mac print dialog, choose File > Print, open the PDF menu, and choose Save as PDF. Enter a name and location. This is useful when you are using a browser other than Chrome. The system dialog also offers Security Options if you need to require a password to open the document.

04Check the saved file, not just the preview

Section link

Open the PDF from its saved folder. Check the last page, wide tables, images, and any content you expanded before printing. For example, an order receipt is only useful if the order details made it into the file. If something is clipped or missing, adjust the print layout or use the site’s own download or print view when available. Keep the original downloadable PDF when the site provides one; printing a webpage can produce a different document.
